Pathways Northwest’s Accrington Branch, located just a short walk from the town centre on Whalley Road, has been given a fabulous face-lift recently, with the help of the residents who live there.
The unit, which previously had six bedrooms, has been expanded to make way for three more comfortable rooms. Each of the nine bedrooms has been fitted with a lovely new en-suite bathroom, offering our residents extra privacy.
The new bedrooms, which are currently all available, are located on the top floor of the branch, giving them fabulous views of the hills. We’ve also fitted out another lounge, increasing the communal space and giving our service users the option to tuck away somewhere a little quieter when they’re in the mood to relax.
The newly revamped kitchen in our Accrington branch is the icing on the cake – we invited our residents to take the lead on the new design, and we now have a rainbow kitchen that’s bright enough to cheer up even the darkest winter days.
With a multi-coloured assortment of tiles, furniture and appliances, the kitchen is a cheery space where service users can enjoy spending time, cooking up tasty meals and eating together.
We’ve also got plans in place to remodel the outside space, adding raised beds for vegetable growing and bespoke garden furniture so that residents can catch some sunshine and get into gardening over the summer months.
Pathways Director, Claire Mason, said:
“Our Accrington unit is looking brilliant after its make-over – the whole house has been completely transformed, both in terms of looks and space.
“We’re really grateful to everyone who helped with the project, and we’re looking forward to showing new referrals around the renovated communal spaces and comfy en-suite bedrooms.”
With three brand new bedrooms available, the team at Pathways Northwest’s Accrington branch is now open to new referrals – we welcome both men and women between the ages of 18 and 65, so if you’d like to know more about our wonderful new facilities, get in touch today to arrange a visit.
